“RBI ASSISTANT” is a professional exam that the Reserve Bank of India conducts; it selects candidates eligible for the assistant post in different branches, officers of RBI. The RBI assistant exam 2022 comes under the central government Post, where the candidates can enjoy the benefits and amenities provided by the central government.  An RBI assistant is responsible for verification of documents, maintaining files etc.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility criteria of RBI ASSISTANT have some requirements that every candidate must fulfil to apply for individual posts. Only the students eligible for the given conditions can apply for it, and the remaining students do not register for the exam.
All the candidates needed to fulfil the RBI ASSISTANT Eligibility Criteria. Mainly the eligibility criteria consist of three requirements that allow the candidates to register for the exam. The requirements include:

  • Proficiency in Language
RBI Assistant Eligibility – Age Limit

The aspirants who want to apply for RBI ASSISTANT must have an age limit of 20 – 28 Years (as of 1/12/2019). The candidate who is below 20 and above 28 is not eligible for this exam. Also, any candidate born before December 2, 1991, and after December 1 1999, are not eligible. All the candidates need to present their Caste certificate at the time of the interview.

RBI Assistant Eligibility – Educational Qualifications

These are the educational qualification that a candidate must possess (as of 1/12/2019) if interested to apply for the RBI Assistant Exam:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in any discipline. For SC/ST/PWD candidates, passing class marks are sufficient to apply for the exam.
  • A person from the Ex-Servicemen category should either be a Graduate from any Government recognised University/ should have passed matriculation/ or examination of Armed Forces and provided 15 years in defence service.
  • If a candidate is applying from a particular state or region, they should know how to read, write and speak the regional language of that specific area.

RBI Assistant Eligibility – Scheme of Selection
The RBI Assistant selection scheme consists of three stages:

  • Prelims
  • Mains
  • Language Proficiency Test

The RBI prelims exam comprises 3 sections:

  1. English Language
  2. Reasoning Ability
  3. Quantitative Aptitude.

The mains exam comprises 5 sections, three being the same as prelims and the other two being General Awareness and Computer Knowledge.

The above are the eligibility criteria for registering for the RBI ASSISTANT exam. The final selection is based on marks in the online examination and by qualifying LPT, documents verification and medical test. Once the candidate is qualified in all those requirements, they are recruited for the RBI ASSISTANT post.

You don’t have a fixed number of attempts to apply for the RBI ASSISTANT exam. Candidates can appear for the exam multiple times to satisfy the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
