Students will continue to be taught in online classrooms by schools. There won’t be any changes at all in the teaching method. It is strongly urged that students and teachers remain indoors and do not attend their educational institutions under any circumstances. Students are also awaiting formal confirmation on whether exams will be conducted online or offline. The Uttar Pradesh Board of Education has yet to announce the matter officially. The government has also ordered that schools organize immunization campaigns for students aged 15 to 18. As a result, pupils will be permitted to attend their schools to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.

Uttar Pradesh’s COVID predicament

COVID instances in Uttar Pradesh have declined for the previous several days. On Wednesday, UP reported 10,937 new cases, bringing the total number of active topics to almost 80,300. On January 26, 2022, Lucknow reported 2096 new cases.

Until now, the notification of UP Schools Closed has always coincided with the closure of institutions. However, without an official update on the latter, it is impossible to tell the situation. Before doing anything, stakeholders are recommended to wait for official notifications.

According to reports, online classes are preparing for the upcoming UP Board Exams and UP Elections 2022. Students expect an update on UP Board Exams dates as the state prepares for the latter. But there is no formal notification yet.

Condition of schools 

Schools in Uttar Pradesh, UP, have been shuttered once more until February 15, 2022. In light of the COVID scenario, the state government has decided to keep schools closed in UP until the specified date. On the other hand, online classes would proceed as scheduled for everyone.

Views of the administration

According to state administration orders, all schools in Uttar Pradesh will be closed for physical lessons upto February 15 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19). Because of the fast-spreading infections, educational institutions have already closed until January 30.

In light of the forthcoming secondary board examinations, Uttar Pradesh’s additional chief secretary Avnish Kumar Awasthi said in a recent statement that online classes would continue as usual.

This month, the closure of schools and other educational institutions was extended twice. The administration of the state ordered all schools and colleges to close from January 16 to January 23, with the deadline being extended to January 30.

UP Covid Rules for School Reopening

It is not necessary to attend school. Students must, however, obtain parental permission before attending physical education programs.

  • Thermal screening of youngsters will be done at the entrance gate of each school/madrasa to check for Covid symptoms.
  • Classrooms will be equipped with sanitizers.
  • Teaching will take place in two shifts: the first from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the second from 11 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
  • Students will need to bring their utensils to midday meals. To avoid illness, children must also bring their water bottles.
  • Children who do not prefer to attend classes in person will enroll in online courses.

Primary schools in Uttar Pradesh resumed on Wednesday with limited attendance for the first time since the government enforced a lockdown to stop the spread of coronavirus. Classes for grades 9 through 12 and steps 6 through 8 will begin soon, respectively.

After increasing COVID-19 cases across the state, schools were closed last month.

Tope, speaking to the media in Jalna on Sunday, said that restarting schools was vital for children’s brain development and that it was not appropriate to leave them at home for long periods. The state government chose the risky or intermediate course of reopening schools to stem the spread of the virus while also ensuring that children were not harmed.

“We’ve been granted a lot of leeways,” the minister stated, adding that “following COVID-19 norms is necessary.” While COVID-19 instances have increased recently, he added that 90-95 percent of oxygen and ICU beds are vacant and that limitations will be relaxed if hospitalization rates remain low.

The minister also stated that 90 percent of the state’s eligible recipients had received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccination, with second dose coverage ranging between 62 and 63 percent. The UP government has issued an order permitting intermediate schools in the state to reopen on August 16 with a 50% capacity. According to news agency ANI, the decision allowed colleges and universities to reopen on September 1.

The state government has also instructed students to start the admissions process to colleges and institutions on August 5.

The final verdict is still unsure in the schools

Although primary school pupils returned to school, attendance was relatively low. “Just students whose parents signed a consent form were allowed to attend; in some courses with over 50 students, merely one or two parents signed the consent form.
